Can we just talk about the clutter that comes with having kids for a moment? I used to think it didn’t bother me— that the mess was just part of life with little ones. I mean, with the sheer quantity of toys, there was bound to be chaos somewhere, right?
Then my mom (in all her wisdom) suggested doing a toy rotation. I think she was just tired of hearing me complain, honestly. The idea was simple: pack most of the toys into bins, stash them away, and swap them out every couple of weeks.
Well, let me tell you — my mom is brilliant.
Suddenly, the mess was manageable, the kids were actually playing with their toys, and everyone seemed calmer and more focused. That was my lightbulb moment: less really is more.
Since then, I’ve become much more intentional about what comes into our home. But every so often, it’s nice to freshen things up and give playtime a new spark. A new activity or suggestion for play can help our little ones dive into a whole new direction. We all need a little inspiration sometimes.

- Problem-solving as they diagnosed their furry patients
- And of course, tons of creativity and imagination!
